# Device & performance

> Make the game lighter while a mode runs, save battery, and name your phone.

Open **Settings › App › Device & performance**.

## Performance

### Performance mode

Off by default. While a mode runs, Zenith removes map effects and lowers the game's rendering work, so it runs smoother and cooler on modest phones.

### Hyper performance mode

Off by default. Goes further than Performance mode. Turn Performance mode on first.

## Device

### Device label

A name for this phone, **Android device** by default. It appears in [webhook](https://pogozenith.com/docs/app/webhooks/) messages.

### Proximity screen

Off by default. Cover the proximity sensor (near the top of the screen) to turn the display off while a mode runs. Uncover it to turn the display on again. Not every phone supports this.
