# No overlay permission

> The run overlay doesn't appear because Zenith may not draw over other apps.

The floating panel doesn't show over the game, or **Settings › App › Permissions** shows **Not allowed**.

## What it means

Android needs your permission before an app can show anything on top of other apps.

## What to do

1. Open **Settings › App › Permissions** in Zenith.
2. Tap **Display over other apps**. Android's page for it opens.
3. Turn on **Allow display over other apps** for Zenith, then go back.
4. On Android 13 and newer, also allow **Notifications** on the same Zenith page.

**Permissions** then shows **All allowed**.
