# Max Battles

> Battle Max bosses at nearby Power Spots, and collect Max Particles on every account.

Two modes in the **Raids** group: **Max Raid** finds and battles at Power Spots, and **Max Particles** only collects particles. Both use the same search area.

## Max Raid

### Bosses

**Any**, or the Max bosses you want.

### Catch

**Every boss**, **Only shiny**, **Only 100%** or **Shiny or 100%**.

### Search area

A location and a radius of up to 3 km. It is shared with Max Particles.

### Lobby rules

- **Leave if fewer players than:** leaves a short lobby before the battle and searches on. Off by default.
- **Leave if a trainer is below level:** leaves lobbies with low-level trainers. Off by default.
- **Start battle:** **Right away** (default), **Lobby countdown** or **After a delay**.
- **Revive and heal before battle:** on by default. Uses Revives and Potions on Max Pokémon only.

### Max Particles

- **Collect Max Particles:** on by default. Below 800 particles, the account visits Power Spots in the area before battling.
- **Use Max Particle Packs:** off by default. Uses one pack from the bag when an account can't pay for a battle.

### Battles per account

1 by default, up to 20. With bosses selected, **Battles per boss** sets a number for each boss instead.

> New accounts finish the Max introduction first, so they need some free Pokémon storage and Poké Balls.

## Max Particles

Collects Max Particles at nearby Power Spots without joining a battle. An account stops at the particle cap, at today's collection limit, or when no spot is left.

- **Search area:** shared with Max Raid.
- **Finish the Max tutorial first:** on by default. Accounts that haven't done it complete the Max introduction, then collect.
- **Loop accounts:** start again from the first account after the last one.
