Getting started
Supported devices
The Android versions, root methods and devices Zenith runs on.
Android version#
Zenith installs on Android 8.0 (Oreo) and newer. We test mostly on Android 14.
Processor#
Zenith needs a phone with a 64-bit ARM processor (arm64). Nearly every phone sold in recent years has one.
Root#
Root is required.
| Root method | Status |
|---|---|
| Magisk | Supported |
| KernelSU | Not tested yet |
| APatch | Not tested yet |
KernelSU and APatch may work, but we haven't tested them yet. If you try one, tell us how it went on Discord (opens in a new tab).
You don't need LSPosed or any extra module to run modes. The optional Enhanced Play feature is the exception: it needs Magisk with Zygisk turned on.
Cloud phones and emulators#
- UgPhone is the supported cloud phone. Zenith uses its built-in root, so there is nothing extra to install.
- Other cloud phones are not supported.
- PC emulators are not supported.
Pokémon GO version#
Zenith supports specific versions of Pokémon GO, and a new game version usually needs a Zenith update first. Keep auto-update off for Pokémon GO. Update the game only once Zenith supports the new version.
New game versions are usually supported within a short time of their release; watch Discord for the announcement. Settings › Support › Environment checks shows the version installed on your phone and whether Zenith supports it.
Accounts#
- Pokémon Trainer Club (PTC) accounts are fully supported.
- Google accounts work too. Sign in to Google once in Pokémon GO on the phone first.
- There is no limit on how many accounts you can add.
