App
Backups
Export your accounts to a backup file, and import them again on this or another phone.
Exporting#
- In Accounts, tap Select and choose the accounts (or Select all).
- Tap Export, then Export or Export with passphrase.
- Choose where to save the file.
A passphrase encrypts the backup. Use at least 12 characters and keep it safe: you need it to import the file. Backups that include a Google account always need a passphrase.
Tags are saved in the backup and come back on import.
Importing#
Tap + › Import backup, then Choose file. Keep Zenith open while it checks each account. Accounts already on the phone are skipped.
You can also open a backup file from another app or share it to Zenith.
File types#
| File | What it is | How to import |
|---|---|---|
.eevxbackup |
A backup of one or more accounts | + › Import backup |
.eevx |
A single account file | Open or share it to Zenith |
A text list of usernames and passwords is not a backup: use Batch enroll.
Warning
A backup can't be reused after a PTC login. Signing in to PTC replaces the saved sign-in, so an old backup stops working. Make a fresh backup before you delete accounts, reinstall Zenith or move to another phone. Use the accounts on one phone at a time.
